Q: If you couldn’t be a dentist, what would your second career be? I would love to own and operate a coffee shop in a small town in the mountains. A real local coffee shop with regulars that you know on a first name basis. 

Q: What was your first job? Busboy at a local fish camp in my hometown.

Dr. Devan Bolf was born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina. After high school, he attended USC Upstate from 2007-2011 where he earned a degree in biology. While there, he met his wife, Lindsay. Lindsay is currently a nurse at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  He took a year off between college and dental school and worked in the lab of a paper mill.

Devan attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2016. Towards the end of dental school, he and his wife had their first child, Bowen. Following dental school, Devan furthered his education by earning a residency position at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC.  After residency, they moved back to the Upstate and Dr. Bolf joined the Family Dental Health team at the Mauldin location.  After a couple of years practicing, he and his wife had their second son, Banks.

Dr. Bolf is very excited about his transition to one of Family Dental Health’s newest practices located in Moore which is very close to where he lives.  Devan enjoys being outdoors, especially when it involves water, reading, and listening to music.  He and his wife are very involved in their church, Church at the Mill, located in Moore.  Dr. Bolf is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.  Devan is excited to be a part of the Family Dental Health team in Moore and serving patients in his community.
